I am Ms. Wilson and am one of the dyslexia therapists at North. I am a Certified Academic Language Therapist and have worked with the dyslexic children for over fifteen years. This is my 29th year teaching here at North.
I am originally from San Angelo and a graduate of Angelo State University. I became certified in dyslexia at Scottish Rite Learning Center in Lubbock. I began teaching in Lamesa (here at North) in 1977 and taught Title I Kindergarten for three years. Then, marriage took me to San Diego, CA. for 10 years. In 1992, we moved back to Lamesa and I was hired to teach third grade back at North. After teaching third graders for many years and being a reading interventionist, I was trained in Dyslexia therapy and became one of the therapists on campus.
I am the proud Mama of two terrific children. My son, Joshua, has been married for 7 years to his wonderful wife, Sharon. Presently, he works at the Texas Tech Museum doing the technology and security. Sharon is a dog trainer at Pet Smart. My daughter, Melanie, is the teaching assistant in the PE department here at North. My home is also filled with 3 cats that think that I am Mama.
